Biography
Paul Winstanley (Sci Hi, Joe Pineapple, p.H. Locasta etc) has been involved in improvised experimental music for over 30 years starting with personal, unsupervised dabblings in his home town of New Plymouth, New Zealand and continuing the practice in the burgeoning free improv communities of Houston TX (90s) and Auckland NZ (00s).
Throughout his work w/electronic effects, feedback, synths, tape and computers his primary 'musical' instrument has been the electric bass guitar on which he has evolved a series of techniques and sound production which reflect the more abstract qualities of modern free improvisation. |
