Biography
I learned the rudimentary language of the trumpet in sixth grade, but did not actually begin to play music until I started improvising with a few trusted friends in the early 1990’s. My first collaborative musical efforts were with poet/musician/ Zen monk, Seido Ray Ronci. I joined the performance group Howlooseanation in 1999, and hooked up with current musical colleagues, the Mighty Vitamins in 2002. I received an undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (BA, 1977), and a graduate degree in painting and drawing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (MFA, 1981).
